1. Febreze Air Refreshener
I was surprised to see the results of the air refreshener we use at home on a daily basis. I was expecting for this product to have a greater negative health effects. This product has a slight level of severity relating to health. The products is not known to cause any chronic health conditions. The acute health effects are different, they include, gastrointestinal irritation and eye irritations. I'm assuming that these conditions are seen when the individual is exposed to the aerosol at high concentrations. The report does state that inhalation of ethanol at high concentrations can be fatal.
2. Lysol Disinfecting Wipes
I did not expect for this product to have any negative health effects. The product can cause eye irritation, irritation of the mouth, throat, and stomach, and skin irritation; these are caused when the wipes are not handled with care. This product has a slight level of severity relating to health, as stated by the database.
Over all I expected for this products to have a greater negative impact on our health, since we can easily inhale the chemicals they are made of. When I use these products I always make sure to use them in a safety manner so I'm not concern of any of the acute conditions these products may cause. Based on theses results, I will continue to use the products. If in the future i decided to change products, I will make sure that they do not cause any adverse health conditions.
The Febreze Air Refreshener appears to be a safe product. However, I am quite concerned about fragrances because we don’t know the ingredients used in them. Consumers only see the word “fragrance” on the product label, and we think it is safe. I’d prefer natural air freshener alternatives. Lysol seems a safe product. I’ve used it for years, but I prefer to wear gloves in order to reduce skin irritation. Besides, the manufacturer reports some health effects and warnings, and recommends the use of gloves for sensitive skin.

Other than the expected acute health effects, I too am surprised that they are deemed to have a slight level a severity related to health. I will make sure to use these products as directed and with care.
