M5.7 Sewage Facilities

The City of Woodland has two waste water treatment facilities. These include, Treatment Ponds at Beamer & Rd 102 built in 1950 and North Ponds built in 1970. In 1988, due to the increase in population the Woodland's Water Pollution Control Facility was built.

  1. Good graphic of Woodland wastewater treatment. It clearly explains the stages of the water treatment process. I wonder if there is any special treatment as I’ve heard the water of Woodland is exposed to pesticides from the agricultural fields.

  2. Woah! That is awesome your city provided an infographic about the wastewater process. I think it is really important to relay the complex process to the general public because the idea of recycling wastewater into our drinking water is "gross" until one would understand the entire treatment process.
